XXXII FIDE Congress Helsinki 2027

About the Congress

FIDE Finland (Eurooppaoikeuden yhdistys ry) is honoured to host the XXXII FIDE Congress, which will take place in Helsinki on 19–22 May 2027. We would like to sincerely welcome all participants and speakers.

How to get to Helsinki?

The easiest way to reach Helsinki is by airplane. The nearest airport is the Helsinki-Vantaa airport, located 20 km from the city centre. Regular bus and train services run from the airport to the city centre. Alternatively, ferry lines from Tallinn, Estonia and Stockholm, Sweden, operate several times a day.

Location of the Congress

The congress will be organized at Scandic Marina Congress Center. Marina Congress Center is located in Katajanokka, less than 2 kilometres from the Helsinki Central Railway Station. You can either enjoy a walk through the city centre or take the tram line 4 or 5, which go directly to Katajanokka. The nearest tram stop is Kauppiaankatu. 

Accommodation:

The participation fee does not cover accommodation expenses. In line with arrangements established during previous editions of the FIDE Congress, participants are kindly requested to arrange their own accommodation.

In Helsinki, you will find a range of hotels situated in the city centre, within a walking distance from the Congress venue itself.
